ที่มาของบทความ: แทมมี่ หมายเหตุ: ใครที่ต้องการก๊อปปี้ไปแปะที่อื่น ขอบอกว่า "ยินดี" แต่ช่วยให้เครดิตด้วย นะครับ Adverb คืออะไร Adverb หรือ กริยาวิเศษณ์ขยายกริยา (verb) คุณศัพท์ (adjective) หรือกริยาวิเศษณ์ด้วยกันเอง ทั้งนี้ยังใช้ขยายประโยค และบุพบทวลี (prepositional phrase) ขยาย Verb วางได้ 3 ตำแหน่ง ได้แก่
1) วางหน้ากริยาแท้ที่ตัวเองขยาย He eagerly accepted the challenge.
2) วางหลังกริยาแท้ P’ Tammy teaches English loudly in the class.
3) วางหลังกรรมของกริยา Nichkhun speaks Thai and Korean well.
ขยาย Adjective Mario is very handsome. I think he is rather suitable for P’ Tammy.
ขยาย Adverb He drives too quickly.
ขยายประโยค Unfortunately, no one loves me. (ส่วนใหญ่ใช้นำหน้าประโยค)
ขยาย Prepositional phrase You’re completely out of your mind. หรือ It’s right on top of the cupboard.
ประเภทของ Adverb
Types

และคำที่ลงท้ายด้วย -ly อยู่แล้ว เช่น friendly, lovely, lively, silly พวกนี้เป็น Adj. ทำให้เป็น Adv. โดยใช้วลีบุพบท เช่น in a lovely way, with a friendly manner, etc. | 1. They solve those problems wisely.
2. Soldiers protect the country boldly.
3. He talks to me with a friendly manner. | Adverb of time | บอกการกระทำว่าเกิดขึ้นเมื่อใด เช่น before, after, tomorrow, yesterday, tonight, immediately, soon, once | P’ Ruj (The Star) will give all of his love to me soon. | Adverb of place | บอกการกระทำว่าเกิดขึ้นที่ไหน เช่น under, above, up, down, somewhere, through,…… | I have been waiting for you here until my love will die away. | Adverb of degree | บอกปริมาณ มากน้อย เช่น absolutely, entirely, completely, exactly, greatly, thoroughly, very, too, quite, just, almost | He spoke English too quickly for me to follow him. | Adverb of frequency | บอกว่าการกระทำนั้นบ่อย ถี่แค่ไหน เช่น always, sometimes, usually, never, rarely, hardly ever, occasionally | I have never loved P’ Dome ‘coz he is so ugly. | Interrogative adverb | ใช้เป็นคำถาม เช่น when, where, how, why, …. | Why did you say that you loved me? |
ข้อสังเกต
1. คำบางคำเป็นได้ทั้ง Adjective และ Adverb เช่น Draw a straight line, please.
หรือ Go straight down the street and you’ll see BTS Station.
2. คำบางคำรูปเป็น Adverb แต่บางครั้งก็ใช้เป็น Adjective (ขึ้นอยู่กับการนำไปใช้)

3. คำบางคำมีรูป Adjective และ Adverb เหมือนกัน เช่น hard, high, late, pretty แต่เมื่อเติมท้ายด้วย -ly ให้เป็น adverb ความหมายเปลี่ยน James worked hard in the garden all day yesterday. กับ
The doctor had hardly fallen asleep when telephone woke him up again.
The train arrived late. กับ I haven’t seen him lately.
ตำแหน่งของ Adverb
1. อยู่หน้าประโยค ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็น Interrogative adverb และเป็น Adverb ที่ขยายประโยค เช่น Where are you going to?
Now, this is what happened.
How well he speaks Korean! (ประโยคอุทาน)
2. อยู่กลางประโยค ได้แก่ Adverb of degree (บ้าง) Adverb of frequency (ออกข้อสอบบ่อยมากคะ) You should never make that mistake again.
He will definitely refuse the job.
3. อยู่ท้ายประโยค เป็นตำแหน่งธรรมชาติของ Adverb ถ้ามี Adverb หลายคำวางตามลำดับ เช่น manne, place, time She worked well here yesterday. หรือ He hurriedly rushed home an hour ago
** จำให้ขึ้นใจว่า Adverb of degree และ Adverb ปฏิเสธ (not, hardly, scarcely, never,…..) ไม่วางท้ายประโยค
** ถ้าต้องการเน้นเวลาที่ทำกริยานั้น ก็นำ Adverb ขึ้นต้นประโยค เช่น Very soon we shall get the result to your final test. หรือ Tomorrow he will ask me out for dinner.
